                                                      Class 4

We have 27 pupils in our class all in year 5 . Mrs Birch is our teacher.

We learn about -

• Maths
• Science
• English (verbs,nouns,adverbs and adjectives)
• P.E.
• History
• R.E.
• Art
• Music (everyone sings on Thursday,and sometimes we play the keyboard,or other instruments
• Assembly
• Geography
• Design and technology

In the mornings we concentrate on the core subjects; English, Maths and Science.

In English we have lots of spellings to learn each week. We read regularly as individuals and in groups in literacy time. (we need our book bags in school everyday).

Autumn Term

We discussed Harvest Festivals and The Harvest ABC.

We are learning about Victorian England, about homes and life and children at work.

We painted pictures based on a water theme.

We had a 'How to Hug Trees' theme day in October and learnt about the different uses of trees.

This followed a performance by Theatre Alibi.

We have been learning about Orienteering.

We wrote instructions for new playground games.
