Mr Beeks teaches Class 1. There are 11 year 1 children and 9 Reception children in our class.
In the mornings we do reading, writing and phonics. We also do Maths.
In the afternoons when we have finished our work we have lots of toys to play with.
Our classroom is beside class 2 and we have a shared indoor play area , and outside play area. We have computers in our classroom and a writing corner.
We have a playtime in the mornings and afternoons. Before home time Mr Beeks reads us a story or we sing songs.
Autumn Term
During this term we learnt about harvest. We learnt about what things need to help them grow.
We went on a shape walk and took photos with our digital camera.
We did the Nursey Rhyme Incy Wincy Spider and made model spiders, using yoghurt pots and pipecleaners.
We used different materials to make these gingerbread man models.
We have been learning about our bodies and painted these pictures of our faces
We have also been learning about pushing and pulling. We looked at the outdoor play equipment to see which things we could push, pull, or twist.
In PE we have been creating dance movements to go with action words.
We looked at colours and textures and made handprints leaves.
We picked up some autumn plants and made hedgehogs.
